• The Jewish National Fund has planted more than 240 million trees in Israel
• While most countries saw a decrease in the number of trees between the start of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, Israel saw an increase

• The Israeli company, Solel, runs a solar field in the Mojave Desert that reduces US dependence on oil by up to 2 million barrels per day
• Israel is in the process of installing electric car charging stations throughout many portions of the country
