Amar'e Stoudemire tweeted just last week that he was going to Israel, stating that he wanted to learn about "who we R."

Now, the fog is clearing, and according to haaretz.com, the Knicks power forward's trip to Israel comes in light of his learning that his mother is Jewish. As sbnation.com pointed out, this means that Stoudemire is also Jewish.

By now you've all probably heard about the huge controversy over the latest South Park episode, so I won't bother explaining it. It's all over the internet.

An enormous furor in the Muslim world continues to grow in response to a couple of Danish cartoons. A few weeks ago some cartoonists in Denmark drew some caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad for a newspaper spread. This is apparently a supreme insult in the world of Islam, so ever since angry Muslims across Europe and the Middle East have been engaged in huge protests, condemning the cartoonists and Denmark in general.

Well it seems that losing weight in an effort to improve his defensive slippage this season wasn’t good enough for Ron Artest. He needed a bit of extra motivation. So Ron being Ron, he figured ‘hey, why not dye my hair blonde and shave/color in the word ‘defense’ into my scalp in Japanese, Hebrew, and Hindi?’. That’s gotta help his defense right?
